EP016: Mental Health Insights for Artists and Creators. A conversation with Gilad Millo Part 2

In this episode, Gilad talks about the pressure of maintaining an image in his then-new celebrity status and letting social media comments get to him. He acknowledges how the obsession with social media numbers affects the creative mind and how he dug himself out of that hole. He fondly speaks of his transition from music to the garlic farming business in regard to being reminded of his fame when people would still ask for pictures on the farm and at the agrovets. While he appreciates the immense love Kenyans have had for him, he recognizes how that can switch up at the slightest incident they deem unfavourable. Gilad praises his wife and family as his biggest reason to stay grounded. He values his family and urges creative people to always have someone in their corner to keep them going and if need be, seek encouragement from and bounce ideas off of. Gilad is a great storyteller which makes this episode worth a listen as he sneaks in a few stories from his past. You are guaranteed to learn something new, Enjoy!!
